The Problem AiLaxmi is Solving for the Women of Majuli
40 million women in Assam's rural areas are financially invisible.
They earn Rs 10/day or less. They keep cash at home — vulnerable to floods, theft, and inflation. They have Jan Dhan bank accounts they don't use. They have zero financial literacy. And after the Saradha chit fund scam wiped out Rs 20,000-30,000 crore from 1.7 million depositors across Eastern India (many in Assam), they trust no one with their money.
No app, bank, or government scheme has solved this because the problem isn't access — it's trust and habit.
