Our Model

How Your Money Works

Your gift funds three things that work together. Where all three meet, a woman gains the knowledge, confidence and support to take charge of her family's money.

How your money works A Venn diagram of three overlapping circles: Community Training, AI (AiLaxmi) and Continuous Mentorship. Where all three overlap is Women's Empowerment. CommunityTraining AIAiLaxmi ContinuousMentorship Women'sEmpowerment
  1. Community Training

Practical sessions in the village on budgeting, saving, responsible borrowing, digital payments, fraud prevention and government schemes.

  2. AI: AiLaxmi

A free, voice-first AI companion on WhatsApp that keeps answering her questions in her own language, long after the session ends.

  3. Continuous Mentorship

Where all three meet: women's empowerment. She budgets, saves, borrows wisely and has a voice in her family's money decisions.

Why This Approach

What the Research Says

Studies from India and around the world point the same way: financial education works, and it works best when women learn together, get timely reminders and have someone to guide them.

76 studies

A review of 76 randomised experiments with more than 160,000 people found that financial education improves both what people know about money and how they manage it. Kaiser, Lusardi, Menkhoff & Urban, Journal of Financial Economics, 2022

AI: AiLaxmi

Timely Reminders Build Habits

In field experiments with banks in Bolivia, Peru and the Philippines, simple reminder messages helped new savers reach their savings goals. Messages that mentioned both the saver's goal and the reward for reaching it worked best.

Karlan, McConnell, Mullainathan & Zinman, Management Science, 2016
Continuous Mentorship

Guidance Turns Knowledge into Action

In a large experiment in India, financial training made people more aware of financial products. Goal setting and one-to-one counselling are what moved them to act, from writing a budget to opening a formal savings account.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sankalp se Shakti, Shakti se Samriddhi?

It is BankersKlub India Foundation's 2026 campaign to train women in rural Haryana in everyday money skills: household budgeting, saving and goal setting, responsible borrowing, digital payments, fraud prevention and government schemes. It runs in two phases: 11 October to 15 November, and 1 to 31 December 2026.

Is my donation eligible for tax benefit?

Yes, if you file your taxes under the old tax regime. Donations qualify for a 50% deduction under section 80G, which is section 133 of the Income-tax Act, 2025. The new tax regime does not allow this deduction.

How will my donation be used?

85% goes to programme delivery (surveys, training, field staff, materials and follow-up), 10% to technology and innovation (AiLaxmi), and 5% to administration.

Will I receive a donation receipt?

Yes. A receipt with our 80G registration details is emailed to you as soon as you pay. Your 80G certificate (Form 10BE) is sent to the same email after we file our annual donation statement, by 31 May of the following year. After each phase, we also email you an update from the field.

Is online payment safe?

Yes. Payments are processed on Razorpay's secure, PCI-DSS compliant page. BKIF never sees or stores your card, UPI or bank details.

What details are needed for 80G?

Your full name, PAN, full address and email. Enter them on the payment page. The Income Tax Department requires them for our annual statement, and we use them only for receipts and tax reporting.

Can NRIs or foreign citizens donate?

Indian citizens living abroad (NRIs with an Indian passport) can donate. We are not registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, so we cannot accept donations from foreign nationals, including OCI and PIO cardholders, even in rupees.

Can I give a different amount?

Yes. Enter any amount of ₹100 or more in "Choose your impact" above.

How do I know the training works?

We follow up with participants for 40 days after training. In our first cohort in Nuh, 35% had started household budgeting and 35% were discussing financial decisions with their families. Saving takes longer to build, and we report that too. See our work.

Can I get a refund?

If you donated by mistake, email us within 7 days with your payment ID. See our refund policy.
